They are hanging on.

Still no twins, but the doctor says it could be soon. A little dilating and effacing. Sometimes I am sure they are about to make their move, and other moments I am convinced we have another week. More news as it happens.

Still here.

Hi friends and family,

I just wanted to let you know that I have reached my 36th week in the pregnancy and now the twins are considered full-term babies. I am so relieved and happy.

So, no labor yet. We’ll keep you posted.

Gemini Twins! Guess their birthday…

Monday, May 22nd, 2006

When do you think the twins are going to arrive? Add a comment below.

Here are some tips:
My 40 week due date is June 22.
Twins are most often born at 36 weeks.
The healthiest time for twins to be born is 36-38 weeks.

People who have already guessed:
Sasha – June 10
Leslie – June 8 (although I would love for the party to start rigth now, and would not be surprised if it did.)
Grandpa Bryan – June 9
Grandma Lorraine – May 26
Marisa – either May 27 or June 2. (yes you can vote for more than one date.)

Getting closer!

Just a quick update: Things are going great so far. We had a little scare at the doctor’s office last Friday where Baby B’s heart rate dropped during monitoring. Leslie was monitored for another few hours and it turned out to be a false alarm. Whew! We both experienced all kinds of wild emotions we have never felt before.

The visit served as a wake-up call and that we really could go in at any moment now. Most twins are born 36-38 weeks.

The little guys are getting stronger and stronger! You could almost arm wrestle with them right now. At night Leslie and I envision meeting and holding our little trouble makers and what they’re going to be like.

Leslie’s now reached the difficult part of being pregnant with twins, and nothing comes easy at this point. I only hope I can help her through this part of the journey and offer some comfort. I can’t help but feel I have it easy compared to what she’s going through.

Fingers crossed, we’re now ready for the final stretch!

Love,
Sasha
